If you are navigating pregnancy loss, you do not have to go through this alone. Below are organisations that offer specialist support, counselling and information.
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust is a UK charity that provides information, emotional support and community for anyone affected by ectopic pregnancy. They also help people better understand the emotional and physical impact of ectopic pregnancy, while connecting them with others who have had similar experiences.
Support available:
Confidential discussion forums to help you feel less alone. They are medically overseen and moderated.

Virtual (zoom) support groups. They offer open and dedicated small support groups for anyone affected by an ectopic pregnancy as well as their partners. You can request to join a zoom group here.
They offer reasonable adjustments and support for anyone who is d/Deaf, has difficulty hearing or speaking or has a special or complex language need. These could include a learning disability, mental health condition, non-standardised sign language use, limited language development or if English isn’t their first language.

Tommy's
Tommy’s is a UK pregnancy and baby charity that provides evidence-based information, emotional support, specialist midwife services and research relating to pregnancy, baby loss and pregnancy after loss.

Support available:
Tommy’s Midwives’ helpline: for anyone who has had any type of pregnancy loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy or termination for medical reasons.The midwives who run the line are specialists who can support you with any aspect of pregnancy loss that would be helpful for you, including mental health and pregnancy after loss. Call 0800 0147 800 or email midwife@tommys.org.
Black and Black Mixed-Heritage helpline: They have a special line for Black and Mixed Black women and birthing people, in partnership with FiveXMore. They have created this service in recognition of the greater risk of pregnancy loss and complications faced by Black women in the UK. This is also run by Tommy's midwives and they can support on any pregnancy or pregnancy loss issue.
Facebook support groups: They offer two moderated support groups on Facebook where you can connect with people who have been through a loss. The Baby loss Facebook support group or their Pregnancy and parenting after loss Facebook support group to connect with others who have been through loss.
Wellbeing after Miscarriage programme: They offer afree online programme designed by experts to support your physical and mental health after miscarriage. Find out more and sign up here.

The Miscarriage Association
The Miscarriage Association is a UK charity that provides information, emotional support and community for anyone affected by miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or molar pregnancy. The charity also works to raise awareness about the emotional impact of miscarriage and improve understanding and support around pregnancy loss in healthcare, workplaces and wider society.

They provide extensive pregnancy loss support information which can be found here.
Telephone support: They run a pregnancy loss helpline which provides a safe space to talk, ask questions, or simply share how you’re feeling and be heard. The helpline is open 9am to 4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am to 8pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. Call 0303 003 6464.
Live Chat Service: Their live chat connects you with trained staff who will listen, offer emotional support, and share trusted information and resources with you. It’s open the same hours as their helpline above. This is available via a button at the bottom of their website.
Email support: They aim to respond within two working days, and everything you share will be treated with kindness and sensitivity. info@miscarriageassociation.org.uk.
They want to ensure everyone can access their support services so they offer accessibility services for our helpline, including: Translation service in over 250 languages via Clear Voice and Video relay service for British Sign Language (BSL) users via Convo.
Support groups: They have a UK-wide network of support volunteers who have been through pregnancy loss themselves and who run miscarriage and pregnancy loss support group meetings, some face to face and some online. Anyone affected by pregnancy loss, including partners, are welcome to attend the virtual (zoom) support groups and you can book on via eventbrite.

The Miscarriage Association does not provide counselling but they have a helpful webpage that includes information about how to find counselling support after pregnancy loss.

Petals
Petals Charity is a UK charity that provides free specialist counselling and emotional support for parents affected by pregnancy and baby loss. Their support is available for women, men and couples navigating experiences such as miscarriage, recurrent miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, TFMR, stillbirth, neonatal loss and pregnancy after loss.
Support available:
Petals provide a free counselling service to support women, men and couples through the devastation of baby loss. Most people are referred to petals by their bereavement midwife or another healthcare professional. All referrals are checked against an eligibility criteria which will depend on the hospital you were referred from. However they do accept a small number of self-referrals. In the cases where they are unable to accept a referral, their counselling coordinators will always respond and signpost you to other relevant support services.

The Mariposa Trust/Saying Goodbye
The Mariposa Trust, also known through its primary support division “Saying Goodbye”, is a UK charity that provides emotional support, remembrance services and community for anyone affected by pregnancy loss, baby loss or infant loss. This includes miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, neonatal loss and pregnancy after loss.
Support Available:
Befrienders support: One of the support options available from Saying Goodbye is ‘Befrienders’. These are people who have been through baby loss, whether that be miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss or a loss in early years, sometimes once, sometimes multiple times. The charity’s support team will link you up with a befriender over social media, email or telephone. For further support, please email the team at support@sayinggoodbye.org
Saying Goodbye Service: The Saying Goodbye (SG) services are the first International services of remembrance for anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby, at any stage of pregnancy, at birth or in infancy. These take place in Cathedrals, Minsters and Abbey’s across the UK, France and US, and full information on the services can be found here.

The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation is a UK charity and community supporting people affected by miscarriage, baby loss and infertility through emotional support, education, advocacy and connection. Founded by women with lived experience of pregnancy loss, the organisation aims to help people feel less alone while opening up more honest conversations around reproductive grief and fertility struggles.
